INVITATION

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to attend the 60th National Congress of Psychiatry at the Kremlin Palace Hotel Congress Center in Antalya from 30th of October to 3rd of November 2024 with the theme of "Advocating for Mental Health and the Right to Live in the Light of Peace and Science" and hope to embrace this meeting with science, ethics, and solidarity.

As psychiatrists, it is our responsibility to protect life and mental health in a world where conflicts and wars are prevalent, leading to widespread deaths and impacting the well-being of children and the existence of all living beings. We invite all our colleagues to come together to discuss these issues in the context of science, covering topics ranging from the universal cycle of the ecosystem to social life and how they affect mental health.

We believe the 60th National Congress of Psychiatry will provide a suitable environment for raising awareness and sharing experiences. Psychiatry, as a discipline at the intersection of natural and social sciences, holds the potential to offer hope and provide relief with scientific knowledge and expertise, contributing to a safer future.

As in our previous congresses, the Scientific Program Committee will plan the event based on your suggestions. Your valuable contributions will ensure stimulating presentations by expert speakers, interactive panel discussions, and courses. Oral and poster presentations will be the window for the latest scientific studies of our colleagues. It will be an opportunity to rethink and review different treatment methods and important developments in psychiatric practice.

We aim to advocate peace, solidarity, and the right to live in a world marked by wars, conflicts, and violence. We seek to address traumatic experiences and promote mental health for everyone, from birth to death and from biological systems to social life. Your presence will make it possible to hold a meeting in line with the science, ethics and slodarity principles of the Psychiatric Association of Turkey. We hope to meet in this important scientific gathering, the 60th National Congress of Psychiatry, with the participation of all fields of psychiatry and other disciplines, to advocate for the mental health and right to live of all living beings in a more beautiful, equal, and peaceful world.

Best regards,
